How we test
A guide is not “tested” because the source post sounded fun. It is tested when someone actually does it.
A finished project page has the age, the time, the cost, who does what, the steps, the prompts, the safety box, and a tested-by line from a real run.
Every launch project now has a full guide. Every tested-by line is still blank on purpose. Sample notes on the project pages are labeled illustrative, so they are not mistaken for a test. There is no photo yet.
When a test happens, the credit is parent initials and a kid's age. No full names. No photos of faces.
“Last checked” is the date the steps and the linked pages were read again. Account ages change. The safety hub notes which rows were checked on October 17, 2026, and which were added on October 25, 2026.
What we look for before a page is called tested:
- The parent can follow the steps without inventing a missing one.
- The prompts do not ask for a name, school, town, or birthday.
- Physical safety is specific (heat, knives, small parts, what gets eaten).
- The result can actually happen. If the glass disagrees with the chat, the glass wins.
A page can be a full guide and still be untested. The blank tested-by line is how you tell. If a source page could not be opened, or a tool’s price could not be checked, the guide says that in the steps instead of filling the gap.
